Center for Health and Healing, a non-profit affiliate of the General Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (GBSC), hosts a variety of projects and initiatives dedicated to addressing specific needs of underrepresented minorities in various disparate health-related areas. Disability Rights North Carolina offers legal representation of clients with disabilities, public education and training on issues affecting people with disabilities, technical assistance to lawyers and lay advocates, contracts with advocacy and service organizations for training, referrals, technical assistance, litigation and special projects.

to strengthening the Latino community. Fund for Southern Communities (FSC) is a public foundation that supports and unites organizations and donors working to create just and sustainable communities that are free of oppression and that embrace and celebrate all people. General Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (GBSC) consists of approximately 2,000 churches and 600,000 congregation members throughout NC. The GBSC Health Ministry began with a 1970's partnership between the Office of Health and Human Services (OHHS) and the GBSC to enable churches to engage in health promotion in effective and efficient ways. HBCU Health Promotion Alliance International Civil Rights Center & Museum (ICRCM) in Greensboro, NC seeks to ensure that the world never forgets the courage displayed by four young North Carolina A&T State College students and the thousands of college and community youth in Greensboro, the South and around the country who joined them, leading to the desegregation of the Woolworth lunch counter and ultimately to the smashing of the despicable segregation system in the southern United States. New South Productions an independent distributor of selected documentaries whose themes relate to the "New South" in the twenty-first century and its changing demographics. New South Productions seeks to promote tolerance and cultural understanding among all communities. MDC : MDC’s mission is to advance the South through strategies that expand opportunity, reduce poverty, and build inclusive communities. They analyze trends to identify challenges that impede progress for the South and its people, and address those challenges from multiple angles. Their core strategies include developing responsive public policies; demonstrating effective programs; building institutional and community capacity for progress; and informing the public dialog. Movement of Youth (MOY) is a comprehensive educational and mentoring program built to expand educational opportunities for diverse high school students in the Durham Public Schools System. North Carolina African American Culture Tour has on-line information on cultural events, exhibits, happenings and African American history in North Carolina. North Carolina Alliance to Create Opportunity through Education (NC OPT-ED) North Carolina Assistive Technology Program strives to create a statewide system to coordinate assistive technology services. North Carolina Justice & Community Development Center publishes a quarterly newsletter Community News / Noticias Comunitarias with articles in English and en español. North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center North Carolina Rural Prosperity Task Force North Carolina State Association of Black Social Workers North Carolina Society of Hispanic Professionals North Carolina Transition Program in the Biomedical Sciences (NCTPBS) OUTTriangle is a place where you can go to find anything GLBT in the Triangle area of North Carolina, from a GLBT friendly dentist to the date for the upcoming Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. St. Joseph's Historical Foundation is a cultural institution whose mission is to promote the understanding and appreciation for the African-American experience and its many contributions to world culture. Triangle Diversity Alliance is an alliance of students and teachers who represent diversity in local independent schools. Triangle Native American Society acts as the official governing urban Indian organization in the Triangle community. The organization seeks to unite American Indians, bridging various unique cultures and traditions while holistically attending to the needs of the Indian population residing in the community. TNAS seeks to empower American Indian people residing in the Triangle to become resilient leaders advocating for educational advancement, economic sufficiency, self-determination and cultural inclusiveness and awareness.
