- Abramson Family Foundation
D.C. philanthropist brings meditation to at-risk populations. Mario Orsatti, 9/03/2010, TM Blog, Since the late 1980s, the Abramson Family Foundation has helped to fund programs that introduced the TM technique to minority populations who suffer from hypertension and heart disease, at-risk high school students and university students weighed down by college stress, and adults who suffer from a wide range of stress-related disorders. Jeffrey and Rona also provided support to demonstrate the effectiveness of advanced TM programs to reduce social violence and conflict.
- Dalio Philanthropies
The Dalio family gives philanthropically through both the Dalio Foundation and individual donations of Ray and Barbara Dalio. Giving through the Foundation is done as a family activity that reflects the diverse philanthropic interests of Dalio family members.
- David Lynch Foundation
David Lynch: In 2005, we started the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace to ensure that every child anywhere in the world who wanted to learn to meditate could do so. Now, the Foundation is actively teaching TM to adults and children in countries everywhere. How are we able to do it? Because of the generosity of foundations and philanthropists and everyday people who want to ease the suffering of others—and who want to help create a better world. If you don’t already meditate, take my advice: Start. It will be the best decision you ever make.
- Gilbert Slomowitz Foundation
The Gilbert Slomowitz Foundation was founded by Nancy Slomowitz to break through stereotypes and lower the bar of entry for people to learn about "the tremendous value of Transcendental Meditation to all aspects of [people's] lives". The Foundation has produced a 20-minute video describing the experience of Nancy Slomowitz's enterprise, Executive Management Associates, Inc. (EMA), in making TM available to employees: http://www.gsfweb.org/finalcutflv.html
