The International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) honored Christine Branche, Ph.D., the Principal Associate Director and the Director of the Office of Construction Safety and Health for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), with the prestigious Robert B. Hurley Distinguished Service Award, at the association’s Award Dinner on Dec. 3, 2014 at the Westin Alexandria in Alexandria, Va.

Christine Branche, PhD, FACE, discusses the origins and impact of the National Campaign to Prevent Falls in Construction. Dr. Branche is NIOSH Principal Associate Director and Director of the NIOSH Office of Construction Safety and Health. Launched in 2009, her office ensures rigorous coordination of construction safety and health research, partnerships, and practice to address the safety and health challenges that construction workers face.
