• ***Advocacy Day for Inclusivity*** - May 22, 2024 (pdf)
  At its May 23, 2024 meeting, the UNC Board of Governors may defund UNC's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity, backing away from its 2019 affirmation that "the University is committed to building a culture and community that actively supports and promotes diversity and inclusion for its students, faculty, and staff, and for members of the general public who access our programs, services, and facilities" [The UNC Policy Manual 300.8.5; adopted 09/20/2019]. The May 22nd Day of Advocacy schedule of events begins with an AM press conference, includes lunch for early registrants, and a 2pm advocacy rally (see PDF).
