Case studies and small group discussion

A substantial portion of course grades in EPID600 is based on homework and participation in small discussion groups of 6-11 students. In the classroom course, the small groups meet during the second part of the weekly lab meeting to discuss the case study for that week. In the Internet course, the small groups interact through an online Discussion Forum. Grades for small group participation are based on a combination of peer and TA evaluations. These are submitted through online forms and are based on specific criteria. Similar criteria are used for the classroom course and the Internet course.
