Marilyn F. VineMarilyn F Vine, born August 2, 1956 passed away on September 5, 2002 at age 46 years. She received a masters degree from Yale University, did her PhD in epidemiology at UNC (and served as a teaching assistant in Vic's EPID168 course), and joined the faculty as a research assistant professor. She worked with Barbara Hulka to develop the subfield of what was then called "biochemical epidemiology". In her forties she developed and died from ovarian cancer.
