Lloyd Edwards

Doctoral student and then faculty member in the Department of Biostatistics at the UNC School of Public Health, Lloyd Edwards was one of the founders and first principal investigator of the UNC Minority Health Project. After many years serving on the BIOS faculty, he left UNC to chair the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Alabama - Birmingham

Dr. Edwards was a founder and core faculty member for the Annual Summer Public Health Research Institute on Minority Health (now the National Health Equity Research Webcast) first presented in the UNC School of Public Health in 1995.
