• Department of Epidemiology Student Awards, 2014 - October 1
  2013 Tyroler Distinguished Alumni Award Seminar. The event began with departmental award presentations by Epidemiology Chair Andrew Olshan. Dr. Olshan also announced establishment of a new award to fund student travel, the Thank You Bert and Ellen Kaplan Travel Award. Bert and Ellen Kaplan.

• Robert C. Millikan Cancer Epidemiology Award, 2017
  November 17, 2017. Genetic Epidemiology of Prostate Specific Antigen Levels: Improving Prostate Cancer Screening. John S. Witte, PhD. Andrew Olshan spoke about Dr. Millikan's work and presented the Robert C. Millikan Cancer Epidemiology Award to Epidemiology doctoral student Nikki Niehoff.
