31st Annual Minority Health Conference - Partner Conferences sharing the

12th Annual William T. Small, Jr. Keynote Lecture:

“Community Organizing and Community Building: Public Health Watchwords for the 21st Century”

The following student organizations have organized their own events for February 26, 2010 in conjunction with the 31st Annual Minority Health Conference and will share the Internet broadcast of the Keynote Lecture.

  • Black Public Health Student Network (BPHSN) at George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services will host its 1st Annual Minority Health Conference, with three local workshops and lunch, followed by Dr. Fullilove's Keynote. Their event will be open to the Tulane campus and local New Orleans public health professionals. Starting time: 10:30am EST on Friday, Feb. 26. Location: Room 310 in the Media & Public Affairs Building at 805 21st Street NW, Washington, DC. Registration is required (More information)

  • Minority Students for the Advancement of Public Health (MSAPH) at the University of Illinois, Chicago are holding their Second Annual University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) School of Public Health Minority Health in the Midwest Conference, “Health in the New Era: The Role of Technology in Addressing Health Inequities in the Midwest.” The conference will share the Keynote broadcast and have additional presentations (including submitted abstracts) and discussion.   • Society of Young Black Public Health Professionals (SYBPHP) at Tulane University School of Public Health will have a live viewing of the Keynote by Dr. Fullilove, followed by a panel and moderated discussion. Their event will be open to the Tulane campus and local New Orleans public health professionals. Starting time: 1:00pm CST. Location: Diboll Auditorium at Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. (More information)

  • Students of Color for Public Health (SCPH) at UCLA will be receiving the webcast of Dr. Robert Fullilove's keynote lecture for the 31st Annual Minority Health Conference. SCPH will host this lecture on "Community Organizing and Community Building: Public Health Watchwords for the 21st Century" on Friday, February 26th at 11:00am-12:30pm (PST) in room CHS 51-279 at the UCLA School of Public Health, 650 Charles Young Drive.
