“I believe that the Minority Health Project is critical to ensuring a continued national focus on issues that impact racial/ethnic minorities and contribute to health disparities. While I was a student at the School of Public Health in the late 1990s, I was very involved in the annual conference and found the opportunity to explore issues of race, culture, and ethnicity invaluable. In fact, these topics are a cornerstone of my public health research, and many of these seeds were planted when I was a student and worked with the project. I now tune in to the videoconference each year and encourage my colleagues to do the same.”
