Otis Cosby, M.D.,M.S.P.H.Dr. Otis
Cosby is currently an Assistant Professor and Director of the Occupational
and Environmental Medicine Division and Residency Training Program at
Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He also serves as the
Civil Service Medical Examiner for Metro Nashville and Davidson County
government employees. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Cosby received
a Bachelor of Science degree from Towson University in Baltimore and completed
both medical school and residency training at Meharry Medical College
in Nashville, Tennessee. He is Board-Certified in Occupational and Environmental
Medicine and completed an Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry
(ATSDR) Clinical Fellowship in Environmental Medicine from 1992 to 1994
before assuming a full-time faculty position at Meharry. Dr. Cosby has
conducted research in both occupational and environmental health and recently
served as the Principal Investigator of a Meharry study focused on an
