Linda Felix is a native New Yorker. In 1974, Linda graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts from, Fordham University, in New York. Subsequently, in 1981 she received in Masters of Arts in Teacher’s Education from Rollins College, in Winter Park Florida. Ms. Felix is a former High School Educator, turned professional sales person and is now a counselor/advocate for people living with HIV/AIDS.

First diagnosed in 1986, Linda became active in HIV education after the death of her husband in 1994 of AIDS related complications.

In 1999 she became a Peer Educator in the WiLLOW Program under the direction of Drs. Ralph DiClemente, Gina Wingood and Donna Hubbard McCree of the Emory University, School of Public Health.

In April 2001, Ms. Felix traveled to Nigeria on a medical humanitarian mission to build and equip an HIV/AIDS clinic and promote nutritional therapy under the direction of Ambassador Andrew Young, Dr. Alawode Oladele of the DeKalb County Health Department and Princess Jennifer Olanenwaja Lee for Operation Heart to Heart. While in Nigeria Linda was given the Igbo name “Ebele” which means “God’s Mercy”.
