- Case studies (generally one per module) have a reading and questions, often taken from past examinations.
- You may work on the case study questions alone or with others.
- You may, optionally, submit answers to starred (*) case questions to earn points toward your course grade. You can receive full credit even for incorrect answers if your teaching assistant judges that they reflect reasonable effort.
- If you choose to receive points for submitting your case study answers, you may still work with or receive help from others but you must write up your own answers (i.e., not copy someone else's) and not have direct access to the instructor answers before submitting. The instructor answer for each answer you submit will be emailed to you (you can still help another student as long as you do not show her/him the instructor answer).
- Answers to the unstarred questions (and the starred questions if desired) will be discussed in small groups. Small groups will submit "consensus" answers to the unstarred questions for half of the case studies (identified on the course the schedule with a #). The submitted answers will be graded for accuracy and quality.
- All case study answers should include a succinct explanation and/or supporting calculation.
